London - Tilda "Marie" Fields, 89, passed away early Sunday, June 22, 2025, at her home.

She was born in Amburgey, KY on December 24, 1935, the eldest daughter of Lawrence and Nora Mullins Franklin. Marie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and lived a full life rich immensely of love, compassion, and in servitude to her family and beyond. Marie was known by all for her heart of gold, her homemade yeast rolls, chicken and dumplings, and her sweet, joyful personality.

She is survived by her children, Tony Fields and wife Donna and Barbara Rickleman all of London, Kentucky. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Angie Miller Karr and husband Brad, Eric Miller and wife Ashley, and Cori Anderson and husband Josh; and four great-grandchildren, Collin Miller, Tyson Morgan, Zen Anderson, and Nolan Anderson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who mourn her passing. Marie was of the Baptist Faith, she was First Freewill Baptist secretary treasurer in Marion, Indiana. Marie loved cake decorating, gardening, cooking, and farming. She loved collecting recipes and cookbooks. Besides her spouse and parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Cordis Franklin, Ivan Franklin, Dexter Franklin, and Nettie Emily Franklin.

Funeral services for Marie (Franklin) Fields will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 25th, 2025 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Cecil Benge officiating. Burial will follow at Fields Cemetery. The family of Marie (Franklin) Fields will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 11:00 AM til the funeral hour on Wednesday, June 25th, 2025.

Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
