Stanley Howard Obituary

Stanley Howard was born March 31, 1932 in Harlan County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Owen Stanley Howard and Zola Mae Howard. He was united in marriage on January 21, 1955 to Lillie Saylor Howard for 68 years who survives of London, Kentucky. He is also survived by his two children, Sandra Gay Painter and husband James and Mitchell Shane Howard and fiancée Traci Rader all of London; two siblings, Donald Ray Howard of Helton, Kentucky and Helen Harris of Big Laurel, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Maggie Elizabeth Anderson and Cassidy Grace Blankenship; one great-grandchild, Jettson Tate Anderson; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his nine siblings, Eugene Howard, Edmond Howard, Thelma Taylor, Lena Mae Brock, E.J. Howard, Herman Howard, Dora Brock, Morris Howard, and Owen Howard, Jr.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, a barber for 50 years, and was of the Christian Faith.

Stanley Howard departed this life Monday, November 6, 2023 being 91 years, 7 months, and 6 days of age.

The funeral service for Stanley Howard will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Jack Harris and Trevor Brummett officiating. Burial will follow in Ward Cemetery in London.

The family of Stanley Howard will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home Thursday beginning at 12 noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m.
