Ronald Clifford Zikis, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, was born on April 27, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the beloved son of the late Anthony and Leona Zikis. Ronald departed this life on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the age of 76.

He is survived by his two children, Sherry Zikis of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, and Jacob Zikis of St. Charles, Illinois. He also leaves behind three siblings, Roberta Zikis of Brandon, Florida, Alan Zikis of Westmont, Illinois, and Susan Yater of Plano, Illinois. A special friend of 50 years, Carl Moore, also mourns his passing.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his twin brother, Donald Zikis.

Ronald was a proud veteran of the United States Army and the owner and operator of Zikis Underground. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting, and he had a love for autosport racing. Ronald was also an exceptionally skilled woodworker, a craft he loved and turned into a successful side business. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held in Illinois by the family at a later date.
