East Bernstadt - Peggy Ann Howard Chesnut, age 78, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

She leaves behind her husband, Elmo Lee Chesnut; three children, Frank Chesnut & wife Regina, Randy Chesnut & wife Charlena, Stanley Chesnut & wife Whitney; three siblings, Vernon Ray Howard & wife Gerri of Soddy-Daisy, TN, Mark David Howard & wife Debra of London, KY, James Barry Howard & wife Rita of East Bernstadt, KY; six grandchildren, Paige Tyree & husband Denver, Taylor Chesnut, Zach Chesnut, Kelsey Hoskins & husband Jacob, Madison Chesnut, Lily-Kate Chesnut; eight great grandchildren, Ada Grace Chesnut, Jude Rider, Lilith Tyree, Jax Hoskins, Kaylee Ann Johnson, Elijah Wade Smallwood, Liam Tyree, Greyson Tyree; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Henry Howard & Audrey Mae Masters Howard.

Peggy was a devoted Christian woman whose life was marked by faith, family, and a giving heart. She was an entrepreneur with a creative spirit and a determination to make her dreams a reality. Whether in business or in her personal life, Peggy approached everything she did with passion and purpose.

She loved her family dearly and found her greatest joy in their company. Peggy had a gift for making those around her feel loved, valued, and encouraged. She was always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear, and her compassion extended far beyond her own circle to anyone in need.

Peggy also enjoyed painting, using her artistic talents to capture beauty and peace on canvas. Her art reflected the same warmth and light that she shared with others throughout her life. Above all, she faithfully served the Lord and sought to honor Him in both her work and her relationships.

Her strength, kindness, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. Peggy will be remembered as a woman who loved deeply, gave freely, and lived each day with grace and purpose.

A funeral service honoring Peggy Ann Howard Chesnut was held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 beginning at 2:00 p.m.in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Jeff Lewis and Harold Harris officiating. Interment followed at the Chesnut Cemetery in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. The family entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
