Nora  Rush
Nora Sue Young Rush, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, joined her heavenly father on December 29, 2019.
She passed away peacefully in her St. Augustine, Florida, home, surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.

Nora leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Ronnie Rush; daughters, Rhonda Curtis (Tim) of LaGrange, Kentucky, and Lori Porten (Josh) of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri; and grandchildren, Rachel Curtis, Elizabeth Curtis, Samuel Porten, and Nora Kate Porten. She also leaves behind three siblings, Bobbie Reed (Fred) of Kokomo, Indiana, Lorraine Duck (Jim) of St. Johns, Florida, and Tommy C. Young (Connie) of London, Kentucky, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Della Benge Young; and siblings, Morris Young, Doris Sams, Norman Young, Loman Young, Ray Young, and Fayette Young.

Nora was a 1964 graduate of Bush High School and attended Sue Bennett College in London, where she earned a secretarial degree. She later attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and was awarded both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education.

 Nora was employed by Talawanda School District for 31 years, where she taught third grade. She loved teaching and her students loved her.
She was of Baptist faith, and spent many years volunteering in various capacities at Rolling Hills Baptist Church, where she was a member for 38 years. Nora was a current member of The Good News Presbyterian Church of St. Augustine, Florida.

Funeral services for Nora will be officiated by Rev. Danny Rollins and family friend Kevin Cousart. They will be held in Fairfield, Ohio and in London, Kentucky as follows:

A Celebration of Life will be held in Nora's memory in St. Augustine, Florida on a future date TBA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Fairfield, Ohio.

We were sad to hear the news about Nora (always Mrs. Rush!) I remember how much fun she had as a 3rd grade teacher and was always thrilled with the turkey and peacock quills for Pioneer Days at Kramer. Our prayers are with you all. Cassie for all
