London - Marvina Jane Hicks, age 70, of London, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

She leaves behind five children, Dovie Kirkland & husband Chris of London, KY, Marcie Smith of London, KY, Michelle Couch of Campbellsville, KY, Johnnie Nelson & wife Sherry of Elk City, OK, Jason Hicks of Campbellsville, KY; four siblings, Earl Rader of East Bernstadt, KY, Dean Rader & wife Diana of East Bernstadt, KY, Russell Rader & wife Lori of Richmond, IN, Dovie Hensley & husband Jim of Manchester, KY; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlie Hicks; her parents, Marvin & Nancy Rader; four children, James Branstutter, Tina Karnes, Kevin Hicks, JR Smith; one grandchild; and by four great grandchildren.

Marvina worked for several years as a housekeeper for Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, where she was known for her strong work ethic and the care she put into everything she did.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and had a fun-loving spirit. She liked playing Bingo, working puzzles, and sitting down for a good game of Uno with family and friends. She also enjoyed four-wheeling and spending time around her plants. Above all else, Marvina loved her family deeply. Her children, grandchildren, and loved ones were the center of her world, and she treasured every moment she spent with them.

Those who knew Marvina will remember her lively personality and the way she never shied away from a good argument, often sharing laughs and spirited conversations with those around her. Her presence, humor, and love for her family will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A funeral service honoring Marvina Jane Hicks was held on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Josh Durham officiating. Interment followed at Potters Cemetery in Pittsburg, Kentucky. The family entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
