Kenneth Earl Gumm was born January 1, 1930, in Laurel County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Edward Gumm and Ollie Baldwin Gumm. He was united in marriage almost 74 years ago to Orvilyne Nelson Gumm, who survives, of Somerset, Kentucky. He is also survived by his three children, Vickie Wesley (Dale) of Shelbyville, Kenny Gumm (Darlene) of Somerset, and Connie Ricci (Mike) of Georgetown; six grandchildren—Nelson Wesley, Kenny Gumm, Jessica Berry, Carrie Cundiff, Clayton Wesley, and Chrisena Gibney; thirteen great-grandchildren—Brooke Berry, Brayden Gumm, Noah Wesley, Blaze Berry, Maddie Wesley, Brielle Wesley, Bryce Berry, Micah Wesley, Brax Berry, Eva Wesley, Carter Cundiff, Tucker Wesley, and Auggie Wesley; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was also preceded in death by his six siblings, Ed, Jr., Clifton, Gene, Jack, Ollie Pearl Watkins, and Joan House.

Kenneth was a veteran of the United States National Guard, a Kentucky Colonel, an Elder at First Christian Church, Past President of Kiwanis Club, an industrial engineer, and founder / owner of Kegco Enterprises.

Kenneth Earl Gumm departed this life Wednesday, July 3, 2024 being 94 years, 6 months, and 2 days of age.

The funeral service for Kenneth Earl Gumm was conducted at First Christian Church - Somerset with Buddy Berry and Braxton King officiating.

An additional funeral service for Kenneth Earl Gumm was conducted on Saturday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Buddy Berry and Danny Evans officiating. Burial followed at the Nelson Cemetery in East Bernstadt, Kentucky.
