Joe was one of the most genuine and honest men you could ever hope to meet. His word was his bond, and he lived those words with unwavering integrity. He loved any kind of ballgame and found joy in spending time watching them. He also loved to vacation in Maine, a place that brought him peace and happiness.
Joe loved the Lord wholeheartedly, and he shared his faith with a sincerity that left a mark on those around him. He often began conversations with, "I was just a-thinkin' about something I read," and would go on to share a passage or truth from Scripture that had touched his heart. The Bible amazed him, and he never hesitated to talk about it—whether with family, friends, or strangers he met along the way.
He was deeply loyal—to his family, his friends, and to his Savior. Joe was steady, true, and devoted, the kind of man whose reliability and goodness could be felt in every part of his life. His deep, gruff laugh was enough to bring a smile to anyone's face, and his presence brought comfort and warmth to the people he loved.
Joe Parker was faithful. He was true. He lived a life of quiet strength and genuine goodness. And now he is resting. And truly, if Joe didn't make it to heaven, not one of us stand a chance.
