Robert Joseph Mobley went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 24 days of age.

Bro. Joe was known as a sincere servant of God who boldly preached the Truth of Jesus. Joe spent most of his ministry as a full-time evangelist traveling the country and world preaching about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. One of his main evangelical fields was in Haiti where his ministry, Crusades for Christ, sponsored many schools, orphanages and churches and fed many Haitians for more than 30 years. He loved meeting new people and being given the opportunity to preach.

Bro. Joe and Judy were married in Columbus, Ohio, in 1963. Robert Joseph Mobley accepted Jesus as his Savior in 1967 and surrendered to preach in 1970. Shortly after accepting the call to preach, he moved his family to Pineville, Ky to attend Clear Creek Baptist Bible School, graduating in 1974. He and Judy continued their education at Cumberland College, both graduating a few years later. After graduation the family moved to London, Ky where Judy began her career as a teacher and Bro. Joe began his evangelistic ministry.

Bro. Joe was known far and wide for his sense of humor and his red socks. He used the socks to start conversations with people explaining the socks represented standing in the blood of Christ.

Joe served his country as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, serving 1962-1970.

Joe loved his family, constantly talking about them everywhere he went. He displayed the love of Christ and his faith to his family with every interaction. First with his children, then with his grandchildren and even his great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Bro. Joe Mobley was conducted at 1 pm Monday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Payton officiating and burial followed the in A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London.
