Joe Roy Creech was born on May 18, 1931 in Laurel County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Elisha and Alpha Murrell Creech. He was united in marriage to Bessie Oakley Creech for 73 years who survives. He is also survived by his four daughters, Sue McWilliams and husband Tommy, Lou Hale and husband Richard, Lola Dean Creech all of London, and Pamela Thomas and husband Johnnie of Corbin, Kentucky; three sisters, Doretta Woodyard of London, Betty Lou Anderson of Columbus, Indiana, and Karen Nies of Lily, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Kim Reynolds, Shawn McWilliams (Renee), Misty Wainscott (Joe), Amanda Grubb (Chris), Steve McWilliams (Mary), Robyn Britton (Gary), Kathy McWilliams, and Heather Nies (David); fifteen, great-grandchildren, Melanie, Megan, Luke, Brandon, Serenity, Dylan, Patience, Grace, Braxton, Tyler, Jayla, Ethan, Halena Rose, Roxie, and Coleman; As well as a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one daughter, Doris Creech Dison; four sisters, Polly Maples, Mabel Tye, Rose Sweet, and Ruth Mouser; four brothers, James Forrest Creech, Paul Creech, Johnny Creech, and Norman Creech; and one grandson, Michael Joseph Pieter Nies.

He was a retired farmer, employee as a machinist at Phoenix Manufacturing, and nursery worker. He loved agricultural work the most; tending his vegetable gardens and flower beds, mowing the yard, raising cattle, caring for fruit trees, working with horses, and various other jobs on the family farm throughout his life. He also enjoyed camping, taking walks, and spending time in Florida with his family.

He is a member of Mount Moriah United Baptist Church, and an ordained minister.

Joy Roy Creech departed this life at CHI Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 being 93 years, 8 months, and 24 days of age.

Funeral services for Joe Roy Creech was held on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Bowling Funeral Home with Jamie Krahenbuhl and Tony Krahenbuhl officiating. Burial followed in the East Colony Cemetery in London, Kentucky.
