James McClure Obituary

London, Kentucky - James Edward McClure, born on August 7, 1949, in London, KY, was the beloved son of the late Robert McClure and Mildred Taylor McClure. He was united in marriage to Donna McClure, who precedes him in death. James departed this life on September 2, 2025, at the age of 76.

He is survived by his son, Jonathon McClure, and two daughters, Jeanette Scoggin and Lisa Freeman. James was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren: Azlen McClure of Somerset, KY, and Hope Murray and Trenton McClure, both residing in Florida. He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth McClure (Machelle) of Paintsville, KY, and his sister, Carol Hammock of London, KY, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents and wife, James was preceded in death by four siblings: Robert Earl McClure, Eugene McClure, Katherine Creech, and Lois Love.

James enjoyed his snack cakes and found peace in his rocking chair. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and took great care of them.

The memorial service for James Edward McClure was conducted at 1 pm Tuesday, September 9th in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Jackson officiating.

The family of James Edward McClure received friends beginning at 12 noon Tuesday, September until the service hour of 1 pm at Bowling Funeral Home.
