Jack Caudill, of London, Kentucky was born on September 19, 1955 in Paintsville, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Jack Caudill and Patsy Wolverton Caudill. He was a beloved husband to Jennifer Charles Caudill of London, Kentucky, and a cherished father to Veronica Caudill of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, and Jack Caudill and his wife Kiersten of London, Kentucky. He was a loving grandfather to Madden Jack Caudill and a dear brother to Lynn Jarrell of Auxier, Kentucky. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by three siblings, Brian Caudill, Ronnie Caudill and Donnie Caudill.

Jack's career in law enforcement began at the Kane County Sheriff's Office in Illinois, where he served in various roles including the first ever special operations unit. He also served as a gang officer, detective, training officer, and road deputy. His dedication and accomplishments made him a legend at the Kane County Sheriff's Office. After his time in Illinois, Jack returned to Kentucky, where he continued his service at the Laurel County Sheriff's Office and retired in 2023 as a sergeant. He also volunteered as a security guard at Cornerstone Christian School. Jack's love for being a police officer showed through his dedication to protecting and serving the people.

Jack loved watching sports whether it was at North Laurel, cheering on his son or Kentucky basketball, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Bears or White Sox, he loved watching games. He also loved spending time with his grandson, Madden and getting to see different videos of him growing up. He was also an avid gun enthusiast. One can say you can describe Jack as a gruff teddy bear; stern when needed, but always with a caring heart, with love for all of his family and friends. Jack will always be remembered as honorable, in his profession, as a husband, father, brother, pap and friend.

Jack Caudill went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 being 69 years, 6 months and 13 days of age.

The memorial service for Jack Caudill was held on Sunday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, with Donald Tackett and Brad Parrett officiating.
