Clay County - Homer Lee Bundy, 93, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025. Born on March 23, 1932 in the Little Goose area of Clay County, Kentucky, he was the son of Elmer and Mae Philpot Bundy. He grew up in London, Kentucky alongside his 11 siblings. He graduated from Bush High School in 1950. Homer was a loyal employee of American Greetings and retired after thirty two and a half years of service. He was a man of faith and became a member of Union United Baptist Church as a boy in 1944. Homer celebrated 27 years of marriage with his wife, Linda McFee Bundy. His wife and family were very important to him and he always found ways, both small and large, to care for and support them. This care included praying for them daily. In addition to his family, he had a special bond with his church community and American Greetings co-workers. Long after his work days ended in retirement, he maintained a connection with his co-workers and friends. In his later years, he especially enjoyed conversations on the phone with Leonard Moses, Alvis Bryant, and Posey.

Homer had a green thumb and loved growing a beautiful vegetable garden that was often admired by his neighbors. He was meticulous in his work and took great pride in "keeping the weeds out." He grew up on a farm and continued to enjoy farming throughout his life. Homer had a good sense of humor and was quick witted. He enjoyed laughing and making others laugh, with his jokes often being at his own expense. He maintained a sharp memory throughout his life. He was a keeper of neighborhood history and enjoyed "telling old tales" to those who were lucky enough to have the opportunity to listen.

Homer is survived by his faithful wife, Linda McFee Bundy and four children: Keith Bundy and fiancee Brenda, Kenny Bundy and wife Loretta, Kelvin Bundy and wife Renee, and Kathy Bundy, all of London, Kentucky. He also leaves behind three step-sons: Jeff Jackson, Richmond, Kentucky; David Jackson and wife Abby of Lexington, Kentucky; and Paul Jackson, Georgetown, Kentucky. In addition, he is survived by siblings: Jewel Dean Taylor, Westland, Michigan; Gene Bundy and wife Ruby, London, Kentucky; Carol Marcum and husband Gary, Melbourne, Florida, Clemons Bundy and wife Marna, London, Kentucky; and sister-in-law Mrs. Vernon Bundy, New Albany, Indiana; 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, plus a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Homer was proceeded in death by siblings: infant twin girls, Martha and Rosa Bundy, infant Theo Bundy, infant Paul Bundy, Orus Bundy, Otis Bundy, Elva Hampton, Ellis Bundy, Dr. Vernon Bundy, Juanita Owen, and Georgia Mae Heightchew.

Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, November 10 at 6:00 p.m. with funeral services following the next day on Tuesday, November 11th at 2:00 p.m. at London Funeral Home. Interment will follow the funeral at Whitaker Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Randall Bentley, Randy Bentley, Clint Hibbard, Rob Hibbard, Mitchell Philpot, and Mike Philpot. Homer's grandsons are honorary pallbearers.
