London, Kentucky - Gary Cooper Bailey, age 71, of London, Kentucky, passed away on February 25, 2026 in London, KY.

Born on April 16, 1954, in Laurel County, Kentucky, Gary was the son Betty Jean (Mullins) Bailey of London, Kentucky and the late Earl G. Bailey. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Bailey.

Gary dedicated many years of hard work as a logger, a profession that reflected his strength, determination, and love for the outdoors. Logging was more than just a job to Gary, it was honest work that he took pride in, providing for his family through long days and hard labor. He was also a dedicated member of McWhorter Christian Church.

Above all, Gary cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Vickie (Adams) Bailey of London, Kentucky; his son, Nathan Bailey and wife Larissa of Whitesburg, Kentucky; his daughter, Christy Bailey of London, Kentucky; his step-children, Brittany Lewis and husband Steve, Marti Payne, and Jordan Karr all of London, Kentucky.

Gary was a proud grandfather to Grant Bailey, Allisandra Bailey, Caden Peters, Braelyn Lewis, Ryder Maggard, and Jace Hinkle. His family was his greatest joy, and he treasured every moment spent with his children and grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM at London Funeral Home, 879 South Main Street, London, KY 40741.

A funeral service will follow Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 3:00 PM in London Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Smith and Jack Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Feltner Cemetery in Greenmount, Kentucky.

Pallbearers will be Brad Bailey, Grant Cooper Bailey, Ashley Adkins, Ryan Adkins, Aaron Hurley, Ethan Collier, Steve Collier, Steve Lewis, Steven Adams, and Larry Karr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Hurley, Freddy Hurley, Billy Hurley, Bobby Goss, Gregory Eugene Smith, and Kevin Bowling.
