Eva Mae Atkins Greer Butcher was born February 18, 1942 in Stanford, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Dexter Atkins and Myrtle McCowan Atkins. She was united in marriage first to Gerald Greer who preceded her in death. She was then united in marriage to Ralph Butcher who also preceded her in death. She is survived by her two children, Deborah Gilliam and husband David and Gerald Wayne Greer and wife Jeanette both of London; three step-children, Sheila Butcher of Barbourville, Kentucky, Robert Butcher and wife Michele of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Evelyn Bradshaw and husband Scott of Richmond, Kentucky; five siblings, Mildred Sprinkles and husband Roy, Gary Atkins, John Decker Atkins, Ronnie Atkins, and Danny Atkins; four grandchildren, Kenneth Brian Gilliam, Jeremy Greer and wife Amanda, Whitney Greer, and Brittany Lynn; six great-grandchildren, Makiah Greer, JC Greer, Jeffrey Greer, Miley Greer, Braxton Rice, and Bradan Rice; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents and husbands she is also preceded in death by seven siblings, Logan Atkins, Sis Hardin, LeRoy Atkins, Donnie Atkins, Jean Reynolds, Eula Atkins, and Kenneth Wayne Atkins; one half brother, Columbus Atkins.

She was a Treasurer at Bee Line Haulers and of the Baptist Faith. Eva was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister and friend. She loved her garden and flowers and took great pride in keeping a perfect home. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Eva Mae Atkins Greer Butcher departed this life Wednesday, September 11, 2024 being 82 years, 6 months, and 24 days of age.

The funeral service for Eva Mae Atkins Greer Butcher was conducted Monday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Terrell Bradley officiating. Burial will followed in Swiss Colony Cemetery in London, Kentucky.
