Darrell Sams, age 67, of London, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

He leaves behind two children, Devon Sams & Matthew Sams, both of London, KY; his sister, Shirley Brewer of Tyner, KY; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Sams; his parents, Eugene & Ester Sams; his son, Trevor Hubbard; and by two siblings, Ferlin Sams & Terry Sams.

Darrell was a longtime manager for Walmart, where his leadership and strong work ethic left a lasting impact on both his colleagues and customers.

A true DIY man at heart, Darrell had a knack for building and fixing anything. Whether it was home projects, car repairs, or lending a helping hand to others, he took pride in his ability to make things work. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for fishing, where he found peace and joy by the water.

Above all, Darrell cherished his wife and children, always putting family first. His love, guidance, and steady presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who knew him best.

A funeral service honoring Darrell Sams was held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Interment followed at Gilbert Sasser Cemetery in Blackwater, Kentucky. The family entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
