Bitha Harrison Obituary

London - Bitha Harrison, age 90, of London, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

She leaves behind two children, Glenda Feltner, Terry Harrison & wife Lisa, all of London, KY; two sisters, Wilma Gaines, Bonnie Wyatt & husband Norman of London, KY; five grandchildren, Frank Layne Feltner, Alycia Castle & husband Shawn, Kristin Gregory & husband Bronson Neace, Sarah Bourland, Stephen Harrison; six great grandchildren, Christan Castle, Carsten Castle, Lainey Feltner, Olivia Gregory, Ryker Gregory, Addilyn Neace; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Harrison; her parents, Tom & Mary Hicks Sawyers; five siblings, Stella Griffin, Mable Garrison, Willie Sawyers, Elmer Sawyers, J.C. Sawyers; her son-in-law, Frank Feltner; and by her brother-in-law, Carl Gaines.

Bitha was a beloved homemaker and lifelong member of East Pittsburg Baptist Church. She lived a life marked by warmth, humor, and the simple joys that made every day a little brighter.

She had a creative spirit and enjoyed crafting of all kinds. Animals held a special place in her heart—throughout her life she cared for numerous dogs, cats, and even birds, each one treated as part of the family. She loved thrifting and could find treasures where others saw none, especially when it came to Christmas décor, her favorite season of all.

Bitha cherished time with her family. She loved preparing meals, tending to her garden, and shopping—whether for bargains, gifts, or just for fun. Though she never drove a day in her life, she got around better than the rest of the family combined. If there was somewhere to go, Bitha was ready, eager, and excited to be on her way.

Known for her quick wit and good sense of humor, she could light up a room with her storytelling. She had a charming habit of never calling anyone by their correct name, a quirk that only made her more endearing to those who knew and loved her.

Bitha's life was filled with love, laughter, and a generosity of spirit that touched everyone she met. Her memory will remain a blessing to her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A funeral service honoring Bitha Harrison will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Alex Lockridge and Shawn Madden officiating.
