Ada  Roark
Ada Evelene "Evelyn" Roark, age 86, of London, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at her home.
She leaves behind four children, Roger Roark & wife Delilah, Judy Hicks & husband Vernon, Sheila Brock & husband Tim, and Steve Roark & wife Bonnie, all of London; two siblings, Kathleen Lockaby & husband Kindred, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Russell Morris & wife Brenda of Nicholasville, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren, Heath Roark, Heather Roark, Chad Hicks & wife Sally, Christy Hicks & husband Ike, Justin Whited & wife Chasity, Brittany Roark, Sean Brock & wife Samantha, Brian Roark & wife Rachel, Erica Brock, Kacee Miller & husband Bob, Amanda Harris & husband Shane, and Jeffrey Parker & wife Kayla; 18 great-grandchildren, Zoey Roark, Sophy Roark, Mia Roark, Landyn Casteel, Brantley Whited, Holden Whited, Tucker Boroviak, Cooper Boroviak, Aubrey Brock, Maddi Brock, Ava Hicks, Ike Hicks, Haegan Harris, Georgia Harris, Shiloh Harris, Gracie Parker, Ava Parker, Ryder Parker plus, a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Glen Roark; her parents, Charles Green Morris and Rhoda Ethel Cobb Morris; and two siblings, Eugene Morris, Johnny Morris.
Evelene was of the Apostolic faith. She was a member of the Church of God in Jesus Name. She was an avid UK Wildcats fan, having traveled to many games, even to Hawaii to watch them play. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She loved flowers, gardening and quilting. She was known for canning beets, apple butter and various jellies. Evelene loved to sing.
Funeral services for Evelene Roark will be held on Sunday, September 22, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Vernon Morris and Pastor Larry Roark officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 21, beginning at 5 p.m. also at the funeral home.
The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
