Vascoe Thomas, 84, of Pendleton, Oregon, formally of London, Ky., the husband of Pam Chatley, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Kadec Regional Medical Center, Richland, Washington.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Pam Chatley; five children, Darrell McDaniel and wife Barbara of London, Jerry Thomas and wife Mary of Tennessee, Mike Thomas and wife Sue Ellen of Granger, Ind., Richard Thomas and wife Deanna of Pendleton, Org., and Shari Schiller and husband John of Pilot Rock, Org.; three siblings, Gene Thomas and wife Elsie, Jewell Dunaway, and Betty Lou Byrley and husband Randolph, all of London; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orie and Nell Rowland Thomas.
He was retired from the car business, a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith and loved and adored his family and friends.
Funeral services for Vascoe Thomas will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 10, in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home.
