Vada Irene Freeman Vada Irene Freeman, 75, passed away Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at Baptist Health - Corbin. She was born on January 11, 1940, in Alabama, the daughter of the late Alvie and Maggie Benson Posey. She is survived by five children, Vada Allen and husband, Roy, of London, Tina Sawyers and husband, Albert, Juanita Corbin and husband, David, Linda Burchett and husband, Mike, all of Virginia, and Kenneth Robins and wife, Tracey, of Harlan; two sisters, Helen Ward and Lorene Seabolt of Virginia; two brothers, Woodrow Posey of Ohio, and James Posey of Alabama; her son-in-law, John Thomas of Virginia; 16 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn her passing. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Granville Freeman; a daughter, Teresa Thomas; and four brothers, Howard Posey, Roger Dale Robins, James Luther Eldridge and David James Eldridge. She was a homemaker and a member of Lily Holiness Church. Funeral service for Vada Irene Freeman will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday. Dec. 31, in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Ryan Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens at Lily. The family of Vada Irene Freeman will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30.
