Troy Burns, 78, of London, Kentucky, passed away on October 5, 2017.
Burns was born on August 13, 1939 in Laurel County, Kentucky, the son of the late Harvey and Linda Dees Burns. He was united in marriage to Cora Sue Johnson who preceded him in death. He is survived by one son, Dennis Johnson and wife Kathy of North Carolina and one daughter, Lisa Williams and husband Les of London, one sister, Mary Smith of London, five grandchildren, Susan Ramey, Dylan Johnson, Dennis Johnson, Jr., Kim Betts and Kyle Williams, several great grandchildren plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Besides his parents and wife he was also preceded in death by four children, twin sons Keith and Kevin Burns, Troy Wayne Burns and Bascom Johnson, also eight siblings, James, Bob, Roy, Virgil and Billy Burns, Bertha Napier, Myrtle McNamara and Lillian Rudder.
He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the United States Army.
Visitation was held on Thursday, Oct. 5 at Bowling Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Friday, October 6 at Bowling Funeral Home with Bobby Helton officiating. Burial followed in the Elza Cemetary in London with military honors by the local DAV.
