Shirley Weaver, 70, wife of Truman Weaver of London, Ky., passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at her residence.
She was the mother of "Joe Poe" Isgrigg and wife Bertha Ann of London; the sister of Coleman Schell and wife Darlene of Warren, Mich., Fern Wilson, Edith Tolbert, Hazel Hendrix and husband Truman, Darrell "Doc" Shell and wife Deena, Faith Yaden and husband Mike, all of London, and James Bill Shell and wife Phyllis of Port Huron, Mich.; and the sister-in-law of Betty Parman of Paducah, Ky. She is also survived by one grandchild, Brennen Joseph Isgrigg.
She was preceded in death by two siblings, Denny Parman and Mary Jo Isgrigg; by her parents, Veltie McKinley Shell and Eva Jewel Parman Shell, and by three brother-in-laws, Lester Wilson, Wiley "Buck" Tolbert and Joe Isgrigg.
She was formerly employed by Caron Spinning Company, and was retired from the Laurel County Board of Education.
Funeral service for Shirley Weaver was conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, in London Funeral Home Chapel with Tyson Baker officiating.
Burial followed at Rough Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joe Isgrigg, Jeremy Shell, David Wilson, Jonathan Wilson, Darrell "Doc" Shell and Donald Ray Weaver.
Honorary pallbearers were Truman Hendrix, Steve and Lucas Yaden, Doug Wilson and Dale Wilson
The family received friends after 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, also at the funeral home.
