Sharon Kay McQueen was born June 24, 1946, in Shelbyville, Ind., the daughter of the late James Allen Chance and Florence Gay Burkley Chance. She was united in marriage to Webb Junior McQueen, who survives of London. She is also survived by one son, James Irven McQueen and wife, Mary "Crickett" McQueen, of London, three siblings, Janie Odoud of Great Falls, Montana, Thomas Andrew Chance of Shelbyville, and Bonnie Marie Teed of Missouri, one grandchild, Nora McQueen, of London, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn her passing. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Agnes Chance, and three brothers, James Richard, Joe Leslie and Paul Allen Chance.
She was a former custodian for the Laurel County Board of Education and was a member of the Church of God in Jesus Name.
Sharon Kay McQueen departed this life at St. Joseph - London on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, being 70 years, 6 months and 30 days of age.
Funeral services for Sharon Kay McQueen will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Joe McQueen and Larry Paul Roark officiating. Burial will follow in the Walthen Cemetery at East Bernstadt.
The family of Sharon Kay McQueen will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Wednesday.
