Seldon D.'s Story

Seldon D. Lewis, 73, of East Bernstadt, Ky., passed away Friday, May 12, 2017, from a three month illness of Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS).
He was the son of the late Willie and Mae Gabbard Lewis.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Johnson Lewis; three daughters, Sandy (Nick) Baker of London, Teresa (David) Damron of Nicholasville, Ky., and Christi (Scott) May of Lexington, Ky.; six grandchildren, John (Kasey) Louthan, Ashley Louthan, Karolyn (Jared) Roberts, Zach Damron, Rachyl May, and Emily May; one great-grandchild, Carter Roberts; a brother, Edward (Nadean) Lewis of East Bernstadt; two sisters, Tancy Ward of Lutz, Fla., and Nancy (Tom) Swanner of London; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Lewis of East Bernstadt.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill Lewis.
Seldon was a long time business owner in Laurel County and owned Food Land Supermarket in East Bernstadt for 37 years. He was a member of Calvary Worship Center and Carmichael Community Church.
Funeral service was at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at Bowling Funeral Home with Jeff Lewis and David Damron officiating. Burial followed in A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London.
Visitation was after 6 p.m. Monday.
