Sara Lee's Story
Sara Lee Taylor Seeley, 94, passed away on January 13, 2018, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Born in Valdosta, Ga., on October 20, 1923, she was the daughter of Thomas Garland and Lilian Ewart Taylor. She met her beloved husband, Ellsworth C. Seeley, at Sue Bennett College in London, Ky., and they were married in Valdosta, Ga. on September 23, 1946. She attended Queens College in New York City and was a graduate of Sue Bennett College.
Sara Lee was a devoted wife and mother. She was an accomplished seamstress, avid traveler, and enjoyed playing bridge and golf. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Lexington. She is survived by her spouse of 71 years, and three children, Barbara Moore (Joe), Bob, and Tom (Teresa). Services will be 12 p.m. Thursday at Kerr Bros. Funeral Home- Main St. Entombment will follow at Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. -12 noon. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 3100 Tates Creek Road, Lexington, Ky 40502, or to a charity of your choice.
