Sallie Robinson, 97, passed on to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016.
She was born on September 18, 1919 in London, Ky., the daughter of the late Chester and Nellie Bond Robinson.
She is survived by a son, Joseph Rowlett and wife Irene of Okeechobee, Fla.; a brother, Hubert Robinson of London; a son-in-law, Ray Harrison of Berea, Ky., grandchildren, Carla Taylor and husband Scott and Gregory Harrison, both of Berea, Ky., Cynthia Rowlett of California, Kasi Rowlett of Louisville, Ky., and Robbie Rowlett of London; great-grandchildren, Jerad Taylor and wife Paula and Lauren Jones and husband Cody, all of Berea, Ky., and Robbie, Selena and Amber Rowlett of Neon, Ky., plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Harrison; a sister, Ada Hensley; and brothers, C. B., Roscoe, General, Dewey, Forrester and Albert Robinson.
Sallie owned her own florist shop in Grayhawk, Ky., then moved to Indiana where she retired from the RCA Company. After retiring from there, she moved on to own and operate a grocery business in Neon, Ky., and then to managing R.V. Parks in Okeechobee, Fla., where she remained until her death.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Bowling Funeral Home with Scott Taylor officiating.
Burial will follow in the Robinson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Scott Taylor, Jerad Taylor, Cody Jones, George Paul Robinson, Chris Elza, Ronnie Robinson and Joe Robinson.
Visitation will also be on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral hour at the funeral home.
