Opal Henson Wagers, 73, wife of Jim Wagers of London, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at Saint Joseph London.
She was born in Manchester, Ky., on March 22, 1943.
She was a housewife, a member of Liberty Hills Holiness Church, and was active in the C.A.R.S. civic organization.
She was the mother of Chris Wagers and wife Pam, Carolyn Bowling and husband Herman, James Wagers and wife Karen and Tim Wagers and wife Melissa, all of London, and Dennis Wagers and wife Jennifer of Manchester; the sister of Herman Henson, Hiram Henson, Jewell Link and Gladys France, all of Manchester, Herles Henson of Waco, Ky., and Leonard Henson of London.
She was also the grandmother of Shawna Williams and husband Kennith, Christopher Dustin Wagers, James Kendall Wagers, and Timothy Nathaniel Wagers, all of London.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Nancy (Smith) Henson; by three brothers and eight sisters.
Funeral service for Opal Henson Wagers will be conducted at 12 noon Friday, Sept. 9, at East London Holiness Church with Jerry Holland, Jerry McKinley Holland, Paul Mitchell and Jessie Kemp officiating.
Burial will follow at Bowling-Wagers Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Wagers, Dustin Wagers, Herman Bowling, Kennith Williams, Earl Lirik, Tim Wagers, Dennis Wagers and Nathan Wagers.
The family received friends at East London Holiness Church after 7 p.m. Wednesday and will continue receiving friends until the 12 noon service time.
London Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
