Maxine Cloyd, 89, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of London, Ky., widow of Shirley Emerson Cloyd, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, in Nashville, Tenn.
She leaves behind two daughters, Patricia Carol Rogers of Corbin, and Deborah Cloyd Best and husband Buddy of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Shawn Rogers and wife Hope, Kelsay Bentley and husband Bruce, and Kathleen Best; two great-grandchildren, Carson Rogers, and Edison Bentley, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Along with her husband, Shirley Emerson Cloyd, she was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Nola Evans; and a brother, James Harold Evans.
She was a graduate of Hazel Green High School, attended Union College and retired from First National Bank. She was loved and adored by so many who will miss her greatly.
Private graveside service for Maxine Cloyd was conducted on Monday, Aug. 8, at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park with Senior Pastor Paula Farmer officiating.
The family received friends on Monday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at House-Rawlings Funeral Home.
