Margaret Louise Philpot, 76, died Monday, May 21, 2018, at Laurel Heights.
She was born on August 27, 1941, in Harlan County, Kentucky. Survivors include six children: Shirley Lewis of Berea, Cherrie Lathan (Robert) of Crestwood, Chester Mack Philpot (Cindy) of Louisville, Jessie Hively (Ray) of Elizabethtown, Janie Lauber (David) and Nancy Workman (Tony) of London; two step-daughters, Joyce Philpot and Mamie Stephens, of Louisville; six siblings, Kenneth Caldwell (Arlene) of Pace, Florida, Essie Burns (Marvin), George Caldwell (Linda) and Bernice Creech (Glen), of East Bernstadt, Debbie Inman (Don) of Pittsburg, and Earl Caldwell (Paula) of Napoleon, Ohio; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Katherine Roark Caldwell, her husband, Jesse James Philpot, two daughters, Elizabeth Philpot and Peggy Lewis, three step-children, Opal Shelton, Roy and George Philpot, four siblings, Henry Jr., Dorothy, Andrew and Clifford Caldwell and one grandchild.
Services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at Bowling Funeral Home with Marty Huff officiating. Burial will follow in the Dunn Cemetery at London.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday at Bowling Funeral Home.
