Mae Gaines, 92, of London, Ky., widow of Tilford Mack Gaines, passed away on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly.
She leaves behind five children, Joyce Miller and husband James of Corbin, Ky., Dean Gaines and wife Joyce of East Bernstadt, Glenda Robinson and husband John of Lancaster, Ky., Jim Gaines and wife Vicky of Nicholasville, Ky., and Terry Lee Gaines and wife Diana of East Bernstadt; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Along with her husband Tilford Mack Gaines, she was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lincoln Davis and Bessie Steele Davis; six siblings, Wes Davis, Sophie Berry, Lester Davis, Emma Howard, Rebecca Carter and Calvin Davis.
She was a homemaker, of the Pentecostal faith and was loved and cherished by so many. She will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral service for Mae Gaines was conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, at Hazel Patch Baptist Church with Randy Bingham and Clyde Eversole officiating.
Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7 at House-Rawlings Funeral Home.
