Lucy Eulene's Story

Lucy Eulene Rush Mullins, 90, of London, Ky., widow of James Russell Mullins, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin.
She leaves behind two children, James Carson Mullins and wife Anita, and Nancy Carol Asher and husband Glenn, all of London; five grandchildren, James Mullins and wife Constantine, Jerry Mullins and wife Angie, Russ Asher and wife Carol Ann, Chad Asher, Joshua Asher and wife Lindsay; eight great-grandchildren, Keely, Cordland and Christian Mullins, Bryson, Brayden, Baylee, Christopher, Cooper, Joslin and Jackson Asher; sisters-in-law, Nola Burnell, Lois Reed and Mildred Beckner, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, James Calvin Rush and Nannie Gilbert Rush; and eight siblings, John S. Rush, Irene Rush, Maggie Cottongim, Dora Smith, Felix Rush, Elmer Rush, Kelly Rush and Cora Bentley.
She was a teacher at Mt. Ararat School in Knox County, Ky., and member of Blackwater United Baptist Church. She will forever be remembered and greatly missed by all her family and friends.
The family of Lucy Eulene Rush Mullins received friends at House-Rawlings Funeral Home on Saturday, June 3, from 1 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral hour with Jerry Brown and Gene Beckner officiating.
Burial followed in the Providence Cemetery.
