Loredith Peace Brooks was born on June 29, 1926 in Whitley County, the daughter of the late John Wesley and Pearl Strunk Peace. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Carl Brooks. She is also survived by a son, Tim Brooks (Joe Dietz) of Lexington and a daughter, Carole Michael (Jim) of London, one grandchild, Jaime Walker and a great-grandchild, Jimmy Walker, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Orville Peace.
Loredith was a long time member of Corinth Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir and women's missions. She was a past member of the Eastern Star and life long member of Sublimity Homemakers.
She was a former employee of Dyche Jones Grocery and American Greeting Card Company.
She loved her Savior and her family and never failed to let everyone know. Loredith was loved most by those who knew her as a Wife, Mom, Nanny, Auntie and Friend and will never be forgotten.
Loredith departed this life on Saturday, January 14, 2017, being 90 years, 6 months and 15 days of age.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2017 at Bowling Funeral Home with Dr. Andrew Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily. Visitation was from noon Monday until the funeral hour of 2 p.m.
