Lola Parsons, 80, of London, Ky., widow of James Elbert Parsons, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016, at her residence.
She leaves behind four children, Danny Parsons and wife Sharon of London, Debbie Jones of London, Joyce Mercer and husband Bob of Greenville, S.C., and Freda Kay Skaggs of Alabama; two sisters, Leona Davis and husband Paris of Boaz, Ind. and , Zona Stapler and husband Sam of Fultondale, Ala.; 12 grandchildren, plus a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elbert Parson; parents, Buel and Belle Baker; a daughter, Brenda Kay Dunn; two infant sons; five sisters and a brother.
She was a homemaker, member of Souls Harbor Church and the Young at Heart Club. She also loved and adored her family and friends.
Funeral service for Lola Parsons will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Ball, Pastor Gene Greene, Mike McGerry and Brent Baker officiating.
Burial will follow in the McDaniels Cemetery.
The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, also at the funeral home.
