Joan Gumm's Story

Joan Gumm House, 84, London, Ky., passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016.
She was born on October 12, 1932 in Laurel County, Ky., the daughter of the late Edd and Ollie Baldwin Gumm.
She was united in marriage to Steve House who survives. She is also survived by three children, Janice Bertram and husband Shawn of Glasgow, Ky., Mike House and wife Bonnie and Sheldon House and wife Debra, all of London; two brothers, Kenneth Gumm of Somerset, and Jack Gumm of London; eight grandchildren, Cody House and wife Chelsea, Justin Bertram and wife Lauren, Lucas Bertram, Karlie House Lafferty and husband Drew, Andi House Paige and husband Corey, Elizabeth, Ben and Joshua House; two great-grandchildren, Rowan and Lily Ann House, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was former owner and operator of S & J Market and was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Denny McCowan and Owen Edwards officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pittsburg Cemetery.
Visitation was after 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, also at the funeral home.
