Jimmy Wayne's Story

Jimmy Wayne Floyd Sr., 68, departed this life on Monday, July 3, 2017.
He was born on August 23, 1948 in Laurel County, Ky., the son of the late Luster and Frances Bonera Floyd.
He was united in marriage to Saundra Mills Floyd who preceded him in death.
He is survived by one daughter, Katesha Floyd of London; three brothers, Johnny Floyd and wife Joyce, Raymond Floyd and wife Linda and Ricky Floyd, all of London; three sisters, Judy Caldwell and husband Jim, Jane Oakes and husband Tony and Jenny Johnson and husband Terry, all of London, three grandchildren, Kelsey and Trey Hedrick and Cole Floyd; two great-grandchildren Case Dean and Colt Wayne Wilson; he is also survived by Linda House his former wife and mother of his children, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Wayne Floyd Jr., and one brother Joey Floyd.
He was a retired truck driver, a veteran of the United States Army and was affiliated with the Baptist church.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 6 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Jason Ivey and Danny Smith officiating.
Military honors will be provided by the local DAV.
Burial will follow in the Floyd Cemetery, Laurel County.
Pallbearers will be Trey Hedrick, Johnny Raymond, Ricky Floyd, Lowell Floyd, Cole Floyd, Gerald Boone, Tony Oakes, James Arthur and Wayne Garland.
In lieu of flowers donations are requested to the local DAV or Seton Home Health.
