James Henry's Story
James R. Rednour of Lakeland, Fla., was born on September 22, 1925 in London, Ky., and went home to be with the Lord on May 13, 2016.
He was the son of the late James Roy and Leona Johnson Rednour. Also preceding him in death were five brothers, Earl, Warren, Walter, Ralph and John Rednour.
Surviving is a brother, Ikey O. D. Rednour of Ypslianti, Mich.
He is also survived by his wife of 69 1/2 years, Gladys Sullivan Rednour. They were married in London, in December 1946 and moved to Indianapolis, Ind., in 1947 where they lived for the next 40 years.
They have two children, Roy Wayne Rednour of Lakeland, Fla., and Linda Rednour Rathsam and husband Robert of London; four grandchildren, Jerry Emlet, Allen Walters and wife Kristen, Shauntha Walters Mihalek and husband Bobby, and Cheyene Couch; and two great-grandchildren, Johnathan and Dalton Michalek.
He was a charter member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Beach Grove, Ind., also an active member of New Life Assembly of God Church in Lakeland, Fla. He worked as a machinist for General Motors in Indianapolis and retired in 1987. After retirement he moved to Lakeland, Fla.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, at Bowling Funeral Home with Jeff Davis officiating. Burial will be in the East Colony Cemetery, London.
Pallbearers will be Rusty, Wayne and Earl Rednour, Bobby Mihalek, Jerry Emlet, Robert Rathsam and Allen Walters.
