James T. Chadwell, 85, of London, Ky., husband of the late Mattie Chadwell, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016, at his residence.
He leaves behind three daughters, Sheila Sue Corey and husband Roger, Sherry Lynn Burns and husband Jerry, and Carol Ann Asher and husband Russ, all of London; seven siblings, Garrett, Leonard, Earl and Delmer Chadwell, Mae Tedders, all of London, Joyce Mills of Manchester, and Bernice Cheek of Hamilton, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Corey, Devin Corey, Shawna Witt and husband Corey, Connor Burns, Bryson Asher, Brayden Asher, Baylee Grace Asher; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Grace Burns and Samuel Mason Witt, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Chadwell; parents, Willie and Martha Chadwell; four siblings, Troy Chadwell, Letch Chadwell, Flossie Bernard and Flora Lawson.
He was a factory worker, farmer, member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and loved and cherished his family and friends.
Funeral services for James T. Chadwell will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 16, in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with David Smith, Wayne House and Ronnie Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith/Sasser Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, also at the funeral home.
