Hollis David Abner, 86, London, Ky., passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016.
He was born on February 24, 1930 in Jackson County, Ky., the son of the late John and Nancy Woods Abner.
He was united in marriage to Katherine Allen Crook who survives. He is also survived by three children, Larry Abner, Linda Shoemaker and Debbie Jenkins, all of Springfield, Ohio; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He was a retired antique broker, a carpenter and a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was of the Baptist faith.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 8, at Bowling Funeral Home from 12:30 until the 2:30 p.m. funeral hour with Dr. Andrew Dyer and Jason Ivey officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in London.
Military honors will be provided by the local DAV.
Pallbearers will be Clayton Allen, Jess Ball, David and Paul Grigsby, Zach Hoskins and James Marcum.
