Herbert Gray, 72, of London, Ky., husband of Margie Tuttle Gray, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at his residence.
Along with his loving wife of 52 years, he leaves behind one sister, Cora Reed and husband Jim of Dayton, OH; four sisters-in-law, Pauline, Betty, Glenda and her husband Carl, and Louise Gray; nieces, Kim and Lisa, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Gray and Rebecca Day Gray; and five siblings, Fay Washabaugh, Lucy Grubb, Alice Peters, James Gray and Alonzo Gray.
He was a retired shipping clerk with Laurel Grocery, an avid outdoor sportsman and member of Blackwater Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Funeral service for Herbert Gray was conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Marty Nolan and Tommy Floyd officiating.
Burial followed in the Smith Family Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Mark Sibert, Chris Floyd, John Lewis, Carl Campbell, Lynn Fields, and Denny Osborne.
The family received friends beginning at 12 noon until the funeral hour of 2 p.m., also on Saturday at the funeral home.
