Grace Nicholson, 89, London, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016.
She was born on August 20, 1927 in Laurel County, Ky., the daughter of the late Clay and Sallie Watkins Allen.
She was united in marriage first to Roy Morris who preceded her in death and second to Woodrow Nicholson who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Winton Nicholson and wife Thelma of London; and a sister, Mae Huff of London; four grandchildren, Jason Roy Morris and wife Crystal, Wesley Nicholson and wife Susan, Anna Smith and husband Eric, and Beth Wilkerson and husband Mike; six great-grandchildren, Haley, William and Aiden Smith, Madison and Emily Lou Grace Morris and Tara Wilkerson, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Besides her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Alan Morris, and two brothers, Bob and Henry Allen.
She was a homemaker, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Greenmount Baptist Church for 68 years.
Funeral service was conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Claude Maggard and Delmer Gross officiating.
Burial followed in Greenmount Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Albert Huff, Jeff Blunschi, Wesley Nicholson, Eric Smith, Johnny Messer and James Angel.
Visitation was from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral hour also at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Bowling Funeral Home to assist with funeral expense.
