Geraldine Powers, 83, of Lexington, Ky., (formerly of London, Ky.), widow of Bryan Powers Sr., passed away on Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
She leaves behind one son, Chuck Powers and wife Charlotte of Lexington; five siblings, Betty Lubrecht, Robertine Brown, Lois Creech, Ella Peace, and Denny Mullins; three grandchildren, Bryan Powers III, Sam Powers, and Mary Audrey Powers; two step-grandchildren, Dylan and Alex Berry; three great-grandchildren, Dallas, Colton and Hendrix Powers, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan Powers Sr.; parents, El Hannon and Rose Mullins; three siblings, Ronnie Mullins, Danny Mullins, and Patricia Payne and one great-granddaughter, Madison Grace Powers.
She was a retired bank teller with Cumberland Valley National Bank, member of Laurel River Baptist Church and member of the Women's Missionary Union Chapter of Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service for Geraldine Powers will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb, 2, also at the funeral home.
