Gerald Nelson's Story
Gerald Nelson Binder, 75, passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016.
He was born on November 3, 1941 in Laurel County, Ky., the son of the late Francis and Pearl Jones Binder.
He was united in marriage to Beverly Jean Ott who survives. He is also survived by three children, Jerry Binder and wife Tonya of Chattanooga, Tenn., Jody Binder and wife Tammy and Renee Blair and husband Tony, all of London; one brother, Albert Binder and wife Trish; two sisters, Alma Wilson and husband Hank and Loucille Cornett and husband Roy, all of London; also a sister-in-law, Loucille Binder of London; nine grandchildren, Brett, T. J., Breanna and Brody Binder, Terae Johnson, Kinsley and Khloe Blair, and Jonathan and Joshua Gray, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Binder.
He was a retired lumber operator and a member of the Swiss Colony Baptist Church.
Funeral service was at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at Bowling Funeral Home with Johnny Jervis officiating.
Burial followed in the Swiss Colony Cemetery in London.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. Monday until the 8 p.m. funeral hour also at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Dale Wilson, Chuck Wilson, Ben Sams, Jason Binder, John May and Jack Benge.
