Geneva Minton, age 89 of London, Ky., widow of Kelly Minton, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at Christian Care Communities in Corbin, Ky.
She leaves behind three children, Marlene Black of Grayhawk, Ky., Dwayne Minton and wife Margo and Rick Minton, all of London; three siblings, Christine Smith, John Miller and wife Jewel, and Murrell Miller, all of London; six grandchildren, Kevin Black, Dana Peters, Kelli Baker, Brittany Cooke, Treston Cobb, and Whitney Minton; 11 great-grandchildren, Jonah, Silas, Kaelyn, Kendall, Keagan, Meela, Harper, Tia, Boston, Chelsea, and Paige; and one great-great- grandson, Grant.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Tom and Lucy Miller; four siblings, Thelma Miller, Cleo Minton, Claudia Hendrix and Carol Melton; a grandson, Donald Keith Black; and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Minton.
She was a retired cook with Bush Elementary School and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was loved and adored by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Funeral service for Geneva Minton will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, . in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Wayne House and David Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrison Minton Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Baker, Joie Peters, Kevin Black, Treston Cobb, Anthony Adams, Nick Minton and Brian Cooke.
The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, also at the funeral home.
