Geneva's Story

Geneva Grubb Jones, 74, of Lily, Ky., passed away Monday, July 4, 2016, at Continue Care Hospital in Corbin, Ky.
Born September 28, 1941 in Knox County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late William and Sylvia Bargo Grubb.
She was a homemaker.
She was the mother of Sarah Lou Moody of Knoxville, Tenn., Larry Joe Jones and Carolyn Jean Jones both of Lily, and Sally Ann Wilder of London; the sister of Paul Grubb and Laverne Cooper both of Cincinnati, Ohio, Leonard Grubb of Loveland, Ohio, Terry Grubb of Mason, Ohio, Phillip Grubb of Lily; the half-sister of Oda Grubb of Corbin. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Glenda Sue Jones; a grandson, Michael Leigh Jones; a sister, Opal Stevens; five brothers, Leo Grubb, Lonzo Grubb, Junior Grubb, General Grubb, and Coleman Grubb; and by two half brothers, John Henry Grubb and Roscoe Grubb.
The family of Geneva Grubb Jones received friends at London Funeral Home from 12 noon on Wednesday, July 6, until the 1 p.m. funeral hour with Jerry Hensley officiating.
