Eva Burch Smith, 79, wife of Eldon Darrell Smith of London, Ky., passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at Somerwoods Nursing and Rehab in Somerset, Ky.
Born in Olin, Ky., on December 14, 1936, she was a housewife and member of East Pittsburg Baptist Church.
She was the mother of Perry Lane Smith and wife Sandra of London, and Gregory Scott Smith and wife Peggy of Seattle, Wash.; the sister of Juanita Solheim and Arnold Burch, both of Phoenix, Ariz., Thomas Burch of Wilmington, N.C., Louada Moore of London, JeQuita Hall of Tyner, and Robert Burch of Layton, Utah.
She was the grandmother of Brian Smith and wife Ashley of Somerset, Travis Smith and wife Amanda, Jonathan Smith, and Kathleen Smith Dampier and husband Jon, all of London, and Lauren Smith of Seattle, Wash.; the great-grandmother of Andrew Smith, Coleton Smith, Tanner Smith, Trey Smith, Oliver Dampier, and Owen Dampier.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy Moore and McClellan Burch and by her siblings Walter Burch, Kenneth Burch, Doc McClellan Burch, and John Jackson Burch.
Funeral service for Eva Burch Smith will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, in London Funeral Home Chapel with Denny McCowan, Garland Gabbard, and Shane Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park, London.
The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, also at the funeral home.
