Ethel Hurley's Story
Ethel Hurley Roark, 70, of London, KY., widow of Raymond Roark, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at her home in London.
She was born August 9, 1946 to the late Charlie and Lucy Fields Hurley. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, C.B., Walker and Earl Hurley, John and William Anderson; three sisters, Edna Holt, Pearl Houston and Alma Johnson.
She is survived by a sister, Sandra Walter and husband Joseph of East Bernstadt, plus several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was a retired desk clerk with Budget Host-Westgate Inn of London, and member of First Baptist Church in East Bernstadt. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 24, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home beginning at 12 noon until the funeral hour of 2 p.m., with Glenn Davenport officiating.
Burial will follow in the Earl Bowling Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Castiel Walters, Logan Hurley, Michael Combs, Derek House, Jarret Cornett, and Jeff McNew.
