Elmo Clifton Carroll, 80, passed away on February 11, 2018.
He was born on August 17, 1937 in Laurel County, Kentucky, the son of the late Lester James and Virginia Adams Carroll. He was united in marriage to Edith Setser who survives. He is also survived by four children, Bryan Clifton Carroll (Celina), Clay Brent Carroll (Kim) and Bridgette Tara Ham (Patrick) of London, Ky., and Scott Wade Carroll (Debbie) of Corbin, Ky.; three sisters, Phyllis Walsh of Bassett, Va., Brenda McCoy of Ohio and Georgia Tyree of Corbin, Ky.; four brothers, Harold Carroll of Lexington, Ky., Leo Carroll of London, Ky., Gary and Curt Carroll of Corbin, Ky.; six grandchildren, Michael, Courtney, Haley, Hunter, Lauren and Lean Carroll plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by four siblings: Shirley, Ronnie, James and Hershel Carroll.
He was a retired employee of National Standard, a member of the North Corbin Missionary Baptist Church for approximately 40 years and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Funeral services for Elmo Clifton Carroll was held on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018 at 4 p.m. at Bowling Funeral Home with Brent and Scott Carroll officiating. Visitation was held on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Burial followed in the Dunn Cemetery in London with military honors provided by the local DAV. Pallbearers will be Adam Ooten, Denny Watkins, Mike Walsh, Michael Carroll, Steve Saylor, Glen Setser, Patrick Ham and Rob Helton.
