Eliza Pearl's Story

Eliza Pearl Farris, 99, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Madison Health and Rehab in Richmond, Ky.
She was born on September 4, 1917, in Laurel County, Ky., the daughter of the late Z.T. and Sally House Allen.
She was united in marriage to Ralph B. Farris, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Nettie Sue Cox and husband, Bob; two grandchildren, Ursula Felicicchia Cox and D'Wayne Cox and wife, Dennia; three great-grandchildren, John Robert Felicicchia, Sean Felicicchia and Alyssa Cox, all of Richmond. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Letha Allen, Artie Allen and Jewell Hammons and by a number of nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives to mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by nine siblings, Bert, Martha, Susie, Theo, Curt, Molly, Ernest, Celia and Truman.
She was a member of Rosedale Baptist Church in Richmond. In 2001, she moved to St. Andrews Retirement Center in Richmond to be near her daughter and family.
Funeral service for Eliza Pearl Farris was conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 10, in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Mays and Gary Maynard officiating.
Burial followed in the Rough Creek Cemetery, Laurel County.
Serving as pallbearers were Craig and Farrell Allen, D'Wayne Cox, John Robert and Sean Felicicchia, and Damon Jones.
The family received also on Friday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. funeral hour.
