Edward A. Volz, 86, of London, Ky., passed away on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at his residence.
He leaves behind one son, Eddie Volz of Hamilton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Cassie Leamon, Morgan Volz, and Kevin Phillips; and one great-granddaughter, Claire Laurel, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jean Volz; parents, Henry and Mary Volz; one son, Stephen Volz; six siblings, Joe, Billy, Elmer and Urban Volz, Florence Nunier and LaVern Campbell.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a heavy equipment operator and worked for Volz Construction Company. He was of the Baptist faith and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service for Edward A. Volz will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with full military honors being presented by the local D.A.V.
Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, also at the funeral home.
