Dwayne's Story

Dwayne Messer, 57 of London, Ky., husband of Deidra Floyd Messer, passed away on Tuesday, January 2 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
Along with his loving wife of 37 years, he leaves behind one daughter, Ashley Person and husband Shaun of Corbin, Ky.; his parents, Thermon (Tim) Sanford Messer & June McGee Messer; four siblings, Sheila Messer Williams, Darrell Messer, Nancy Messer, Cindy Messer, all of London, Ky.; four grandchildren, Allison Lester, Jacob Lester, Trey Person, Aaliyah Person, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was a janitor at Cold Hill School, worked in road construction with Greer Construction Co. and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. He will forever be remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Funeral services for Dwayne Messer were conducted on Saturday, January 6 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Greg Deaton officiating. Burial followed in the Locust Grove Cemetery. The family received friends after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, also at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include: Glen McGee, Travis McGee, Jerry Messer, Shaun Person, Kolten Messer and David Williams.  Honorary Pallbearers include: Jacob Lester and Trey Person.
